Cube Orbit — Privacy Policy
Effective with version 1.2 (September 2026)
Short version: Cube Orbit does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party software in the app. The app talks only to Apple — Game Center, the App Store and your own iCloud — and never to us or anyone else.
What stays on your device
- Your current puzzles, move count and clock, so you can continue where you left off.
- Your solve history, personal bests, medals and achievements.
- Your settings and the look you chose.
This information is stored on your device (and in your own device backup, if you have iCloud or computer backups turned on). It never reaches us. Deleting the app deletes it from the device.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, your solve history, achievements and the daily and weekly puzzles you have played are also kept in your own iCloud (Apple's key-value storage), so your other iPhones — and a new one — get your progress. This data belongs to your Apple ID: we cannot see it. It is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. If you are not signed in to iCloud, nothing is synced.
Game Center (optional)
If you are signed in to Apple's Game Center, Cube Orbit submits your solve times for Hard, Full and the daily and weekly puzzles played without hints to Game Center leaderboards, reports the achievements you unlock, and can show leaderboards — Apple's screen, or the one inside the app, which lists the names and times Game Center provides (your friends' only if you allow it). This is provided by Apple and covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your Game Center identity, and you can play without Game Center at all.
Purchases
Purchases (Pro, graphics styles) are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. The app asks the App Store only what you own; we never receive your payment details or your Apple ID.
Sharing
When you tap Share after a solve, the app draws a picture of it and hands it to the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes. Saving the picture to Photos asks for your permission first.
Reminders (optional)
If you turn reminders on (the app asks after your first solve, and Settings has a switch), iOS asks for your permission to show notifications. The reminders — before your day streak ends, and when a new daily or weekly puzzle is out — are scheduled by the app on your iPhone and shown by iOS. Nothing is sent to us or to any server, and you can turn them off in the app or in the iPhone's Settings.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
