Tackpad for iPhone, iPad and Mac

Email serkandalwork@gmail.com and you will get a reply from a person. Telling me which device and which iOS version you are on saves a round trip.

The four screens

How do I move a card to another stage?

Three ways, whichever suits your thumb. Swipe the card to the right to move it one stage forward. Press and hold it for a menu with “Move to…”. Or tap it and choose a stage from the strip at the top of the sheet. Every move can be undone from the bar that appears afterwards.

On iPad you can also drag a card straight from one column to another.

What is the address field for?

It is optional. If the project you are tracking is a website, giving a card an address like /menu/cakes groups it with everything else under /menu and gives them a shared colour on the Map. If you are tracking something else, leave it empty.

Can I rename or recolour a stage?

Yes — tap the ⋯ next to any stage heading. You can add stages too. A stage that still holds cards cannot be deleted, because the cards would have nowhere to go; move them first.

The last stage is the finish line, whatever you have renamed it to. Progress and the blocker count both key off it rather than looking for a stage called “Done”.

Where is my data, and is it backed up?

On your device, and — when the device is signed in to iCloud — in the private part of your own iCloud account, where we cannot read it. It is included in your normal encrypted iPhone, iPad or Mac backup. Tackpad has no account of its own and nothing reaches us unless you choose to connect an AI assistant or share a board with a client (below).

Why do I see the same boards on my iPhone and my Mac?

Because both are signed in to the same Apple Account, and Tackpad keeps each board in your iCloud. A change on one device shows up on the others within a few seconds while the app is open there, or the next time it is opened. If two devices change the same board at the same moment, the later change wins.

To stop this, open Projects and turn off Keep in iCloud. Your boards stay on the device; they just stop travelling. Turn it back on and everything catches up. If the device has no iCloud account, the switch says so and the app works locally, as it always has.

How do deadlines work?

Open a card or a task and choose Tomorrow, 1 week, 2 weeks or 1 month — the date fills itself in — or pick a day from the calendar. A whole project gets its own date from Projects: swipe it and tap Deadline, or press and hold it and choose Set deadline. Dates turn amber three days before and red once they pass, and Due soon at the top of Projects lists everything late or due this week across your boards. Your AI assistant can set them too. If you share a board, your client sees the project's date and the dates on their questions, and nothing else.

How do I share a board with my client?

Open the board's Notes and tap Share with your client (or press and hold the board under Projects). Tackpad makes a private link: send it however you like. Your client opens it in any browser — no app, no account — and sees the board, read-only, with a box under each question you have marked “Ask the client”. What they type arrives in your Notes by itself, marked New answer.

Anyone with the link can see that board, so send it only to your client. Make a new link switches the old one off; Stop sharing switches it off for good. One board can be shared at a time for free.

What is Tackpad Pro?

A subscription for the part of Tackpad that runs on our server: share every board with its client, and put your name — or your studio's — at the top of their page. Everything else, including iCloud and your AI assistant, stays free. It comes with a free week, is billed by Apple, and can be cancelled any time under Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Already subscribed on another device? Tap Restore on the Pro screen.

What does “Connect your AI assistant” do?

It is optional, and nothing happens until you tap Connect. It lets a coding assistant on your computer — Claude, Cursor, or anything that speaks MCP — read and update your boards, so the card you add at your desk appears on your phone. Tapping Connect creates an anonymous space on our server, identified by a random code and nothing else; you pair the assistant by typing a short code from the app. Disconnect deletes the server copy straight away and leaves the boards on your devices. The privacy policy has the details.

Can I get my data out?

Always. Export writes a plain, readable .json file. A single project is written in the same format the original web version of this tool reads, so a board can move between them without anything being lost or translated.

Is there an Android version?

Not today.
